Happy new month my people. How una dey? as for me, I’ve been doing good and no reason to complain about anything. Learning to give God thanks in all things.

Creative with Ankara

My love for Ankara is something I can’t really explain. Lots of designers have been really creative with ankara. I love the versatility of the ankara fabric and was pretty excited when a US based brand known as AdenSecret sent me three Ankara pieces. I styled the first one in this post HERE.
You can also check out this post where I styled another kimono HERE.

How to Style a Kimono

The fabric of this Kimono also known as the NUVA kimono was love at first sight and I really love the style especially the cut outs on the sleeves.
This isn’t the first time styling kimono on the blog and one thing I really love about them is how easy you can style them. Gave tips on how to style a kimono a while back and you can find that post HERE.

Kimono is a Statement Piece

The first thing that came to mind while putting this outfit together was comfort. The kimono is a statement piece on its own so, I decided to style with black down to my shoes.

Styled this Kimono with a black camisole, black palazzo pants, black mules and my brown cross body bag.

Glad I settled to shoot this look on the streets of Lagos because mehn! I love the whole vibe, how the pictures turned out, how the Tricycle known as Keke-Napep in my country made an appearance in my pictures. The Sun was also a perfect filter.

My photographer did justice to this shoot and I’m happy with my pictures. Pictures make me happy lol! sure some of you know by now.

Thanks for visiting. Cheers and see y’all in my next post.
