If you are wondering what accessories you should pick up this summer that will go with EVERY outfit – wonder no more! I’ve found the perfect pieces that are affordable AND versatile.

The first is a straw basket bag (or really, any woven bag). A straw bag just screams SUMMER, amiright?! It reminds me of picnics and vacations to tropical destinations. Plus, the natural color of the straw/rattan/raffia/wicker means that it will go with any outfit. I picked up this one because I’m obsessing over French style right now and all the French girls seem to be carrying these basket bags. It’s often called a Jane Birkin Basket because the actress made it famous back in the 70’s. I chose a similar, but slightly different, style with a drawstring liner because I felt the contents would be a little more secure that way.

The next must have item for summer is a coin pendant necklace. I’ve always been a fan of simple gold jewelry and the “coin” element gives it a cool vintage vibe. You can literally wear this type of necklace with any outfit. I’m wearing mine with a more casual outfit today but if you remember my last post, I was wearing a wrap dress with a similar pendant necklace. I picked this Cloverpost necklace up during the Shopbop sale and sadly, it’s sold out now. But there are a lot of coin pendant necklace options – especially on etsy.

Like I said, the basket bag and the pendant necklace are so versatile and can go with any outfit. Recently, I wore a similar woven bag and pendant necklace with a wrap dress. And for this look, I dressed it down with a pair of sneakers.

I have to mention my pants and top for a quick second. These gingham pants are fun, comfy and affordable at under $30! I don’t usually go for printed pants but gingham is such a cute print for spring/summer and I couldn’t resist. I picked up this summer knit in light yellow because I feel like this color is the perfect compliment to the black and white gingham.
