how to wear a boiler suit

Who would have thought that the uniform proudly worn by school janitors and your local mechanic would be one of the hottest trends of the season? Boiler suits have now been given a trendy update.

Now after reading that first sentence you’re probably thinking this can’t be true and that this is one trend you’re happy to skip. But before you completely write it off read on and hear what I’ve got to say about why this all in one utility suit could be the break out high fashion star of Autumn/Winter.

1. Reason to Try a Jumpsuit

The main reason to try a jumpsuit is that it is such a practical item. You can literally just throw it on without having to worry about what to wear with it. You can dress them up or down with heels or sneakers.

2. Layer It Over a Roll Neck Bodysuit

As the weather gets colder you can layer it over a roll neck bodysuit or jumper. You can even throw on a blazer or coat over it. Add a pair of boots and you’re good to go.

3. Options Available at Various Price Points

There are so many options available at various price points. Whether you opt for denim, cotton, patterned or plain, they will fit seamlessly into your wardrobe and can be paired with any bag or jewellery you already own.

The boiler suit is so versatile and flattering. You could say that the boiler suit is the one universal item that truly works with everything. It’s the simple, easy way to be effortlessly cool without having to try too hard. Below are a few boilersuit options.

Inspiration from the Trends

In essence what I am saying is that style is all about your individual interpretation and creativity. We get inspiration from the trends which we can then interpret in our own unique way. I bought myself a boilersuit approx. 2 yrs ago. I have worn it before, but this time decided to style it with some recently purchased white boots.

Using the tips above I also have several other ways that I can style it in the future , which means that each time I wear it, it will look like a completely different outfit. Let me know what you think about the way I styled it. Do you own a boilersuit? Have I done a good job of convincing you to consider buying one? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this post. I hope you enjoyed it xx
