Some fashion trends come and go, very few have staying power. The two trends I don’t seem to have enough of, jumpsuit and leo print have evolved and adapted over the years and are now are iconic pieces of clothing. For fashionistas like myself who like versatility and outfits that last longer than one season a leo jumpsuit is a must. They are cool, chic and yet timeless.

The bathroom problem

I’m a huge fan of jumpsuits primarily as they make dressing so effortless. The bathroom problem is a pain at times, however sitting half naked on a public toilet is a cheerful shared aspect of life in a jumpsuit. Also remember to allow yourself an additional couple of minutes…

Leopard print time

Rawr! It’s leopard print time. Leopard is one of the best prints because it’s universal from season to season. It also comes in so many different separates, dresses, and accessories. A leopard print something is an absolute must-have for all the style-conscious out there.

Bold Leo

Bold Leo isn’t the easiest piece of clothing to pull off but hopefully this guide will help you to wear it like a fashion star this summer.

It’s not an obvious combination but thanks to the neutral tones found in each, you can mix and match different animal prints together quite easily.

Leopard print makes a classic white tee and blue jeans sing!

Leopard print is intrinsically feminine. I mean, when have you ever seen a guy wearing leopard print and thought, ooh! Sooooo MASCULINE! Roaring leo is perfect thing for adding some womanly oomph to a menswear-inspired outfit like a sharply tailored suit.

The most modern way to wear pattern is to layer up and clash. The soft, organic shapes of naturalistic leopard print look great next to more graphic prints like polka dots, stripes, and plaids.

You need to treat leopard print as if it were another neutral colour in your wardrobe. This means you can definitely wear it with other prints—my favourites are black and white stripes and checks.

Space your prints out, one on top, one on bottom, to keep the look balanced, and layer in neutral-coloured clothing and accessories to keep it from getting too busy.

Some colours go swimmingly with leopard print when done right, just makes sure you don’t add too much, or the leopard print will get lost in the outfit!

A soft pink, navy, and classy red or even purple can add some extra interested to a sophisticated look featuring a leopard print.

If you are not ready to be a queen of the jungle, leopard is actually perfect for you. With any leopard clothes or accessories (see my post here), you can stay true to your aesthetic and let the leopard print pop by sticking to a monochrome look in black, white, camel, or cream.

Accessories are the best way to elevate any look, there is no denying. However, the leopard print is quite decorative itself so keep in mind, the lesser, the better.

Whether this be a cheetah printed silk scarf tied to the handle of your handbag or a tiny leopard-print bag, incorporating this animal print via accessories is a great way to approach this trend in a understated but still classic way.

For my adventurous and ferocious babes why not go all out in a head-to-toe animal print look. A patterned dress with matching leo heels is going to be the knockout look of the season. When giving yourself over to this trend, too much is never really too much.
